Sunday Craft-Day

My lesson to teach on Sunday to my little beehives was about having a Christ centered home. I was of course procrastinating my life away and didn't start planning it til late Saturday night... And I realized I had wanted to bring a little ornament or something Christmassy for them since it would be the last Sunday lesson before Christmas... And it was 11:35pm... I was screwed!

But as I looked around my home for inspiration, my eyes fell on these pine cones I have on my coffee table (they're painted silver). So I googled "Christmas meaning for pine cones" and came up with nooothing Christmassy! Balls. But I did find an interesting article relating pine cones, where a woman stated that pine cones open for the sunlight, and close off for the darkness or cloudy days.

My brain got to thinking and I quickly came up with this phrase: "be open to the light in your life"

So I attached tulle to each pine cone, about a foot of material. I just tied it around one of the "leaves" of the pine cone then left the two ends untied.

Then used my crafty puncher to make these

Then I looped them through the tulle & tied a knot.

Done!

Merry crafting!
