Olive's 2nd Birthday Party!

I have a two year old?! How did that happen!

For Liv's party I decided I wanted an ice cream party, so I hopped onto Pinterest for inspiration. A few hundred pins later I had my little party all designed out! Poor Micah was finishing our backyard at the same time so it was total chaos in and out of our house for a full week.

We raided the Russell ice cream factory, grabbing several tubs of ice cream and set up a little ice cream bar on the deck. I went a little Pinterest crazy for the decorations (did you expect anything less??) and decked the house with ice cream cones.

Here are the invitations I made using Rhonna Design App (seriously the best app ever!) for the party:

{I cropped it short to cut off my address}

Livi's outfits:

I made her this pom pom romper and seriously I died a little bit when I saw her with it on.. I want one for me! It was a lot of effort figuring out how to make rompers.. Lots of ripping out seams and re-sewing but it was worth it in the end!

Then I also made her ice cream outfit..

I made the whole outfit: leggings, tank top, and headband. I haven't ever made a shirt before so I used one of her existing ones as a reference.. Turns out they're a little complicated! The "sprinkles" are felt pieces that I sewed on, and the fabric for the "waffle cone" leggings I found discounted super cheap online.. The shipping cost more than the fabric! For the "cherry on top" headband I used a styrofoam ball, sparkly fabric, hot glue, a red pipe cleaner, and stuck it all on an existing headband frame I had.

Here's the decorations:

These ice cream cones I'm seriously in LOVE with!! A little bit of fabric, styrofoam balls, & scrapbook paper and boom! These beauties are born!

The ice cream bar:

I'm so bugged, I only got a couple of pics of the ice cream bar set up.. It was crazy hot that day so I pulled the ice cream out right when everyone was there so it didn't melt, but by then there were a TON of people waiting to eat.

After ice cream, we gathered around for Liv to blow the candle out on her cupcake.. My mom made like 60 cupcakes for me!

Livi was pretty nervous at first with all of us singing to her, but once she saw my family front row, she was stoked! She didn't blow the candle out, but this year she totally ate the cupcake.. And kept asking for more "coooookies?" Haha love her.

We then opened presents and my oh my was she spoiled!

My sister got this "Elsa Car" for her and she's OBSESSED!! I love seeing that ear to ear grin when she geeks out on stuff!

The party was so much fun, our house was packed to the brim with friends and family and Micah & I were so pooped afterwards, we cleaned up for about 5 minutes, then totally crashed. Party well done! Liv was so spoiled and totally showered with love.. She's such a lucky little babe.

We sure love our girl!
xoxo
